Jody Abstance - President and Managing Broker

Jody Abstance, president and managing broker of Dorsey Alston, has three decades of experience in Atlanta real estate. Abstance joined Dorsey Alston in November 2007 after thirteen successful years as a vice president of another Atlanta real estate firm.

Abstance has served as a director, member of the Executive Committee and vice president of the Atlanta Board of Realtors. He is the recipient of the Board's Five Star Circle of Excellence and Captain of Industry awards. He has also served as a director of the Georgia Association of Realtors.

A member of the board of directors of the Atlanta Opera, Abstance is also a member of the Atlanta Symphony Associates and a patron of the American Cathedral in Paris. With his wife, Valerie, he co-chairs the Southern Region Parent's Association for the Riverview School in East Sandwich, Massachusetts.
