Dorsey Alston, Realtors had another banner year in 2019, and it was 100% thanks to the incredible agents who choose to hang their shingle at Atlanta’s oldest and largest locally owned and operated residential real estate company.
Founded by Roy Dorsey and Robert Alston, the company is celebrating its 73rd year in business, and business is good. Brokered sales were up 22% in 2019 compared to 2018, making it the best year in Dorsey Alston’s history.
President and CEO Michael Rogers has been actively reinvesting in the company, opening an intown office in Virginia-Highland this year and hiring additional marketing and support staff.
That’s a credit to the agents who continue to lead the market and the community. Managing Brokers Patrick Wood, Rip Sartain and Carson Matthews announced the top agents in the company at the first sales meeting of 2020 last week.
The No. 1 Realtor for the umpteenth year in a row is Patti Junger, with a closed sales volume of $58.8 million. Alden Potts earned the top spot for individual agents, with $30.5 million in closed sales in 2019.
Beery + Friedman + Cummings, led by Molly Beery, Geoff Friedman and Cia Cummings; Stephanie Marinac & Harvin Greene; The Guthrie Group, led by Charles Guthrie; The Blair Sells Team, led by Blair Branch Huckeba; and Kathy McLean & Allison McWilliams were the top teams in 2019. Combined, they represent nearly $200 million in closed sales.
Austin Landers, Dawn Anderson, Rudy Harrell, Kim Crahan, Robbie Jackson, Sonny Jones, Ashley Riley, Katherine McClure, Morgan Rogers, Lindsey Cheney, Suzanne East, Rod White, Allan Minter, Robert Peterson, Kara Woodall, Maggie Jones, Ashley Aglialoro, Ethel Wotton, Anne Cooper, Britton McLeod, Missy Budd, Heather Steiner, Ashley Rearden and Frank Nelson round out the Top 25 individual agents in 2019. All together they represent more than $308.5 million in sales.
These sales were spread across 23 counties and 112 zip codes.
Of course, we’d be remiss if we didn’t give a shout out to our support staff, the marketing team and the brokers who played a role in every sale. With our agents, our team and our three offices, Dorsey Alston is well-positioned to represent Atlanta’s home buyers and sellers in 2020 and beyond.
