    Founded in 1822, Decatur combines both history and present day.  It is the second oldest municipality in the Atlanta metropolitan area.  Whether you are looking for a historical cottage, bungalow, Victorians, or new construction, you will find it here!

    Public Schools within the area include Clairemont Elementary, Glennwood Elementary, Oakhurst Elementary, Winnona Park Elementary, 4/5 Academy at Fifth Avenue, Renfroe Middle School, and Decatur High School.  A few nearby private schools include Academe of the Oaks and Friends School of Atlanta.  There are also some higher education schools nearby which include Emory University, Agnes Scott College, and Georgia Perimeter College.
