- Our Story
Scott is an Atlanta native that promises to bring his energy, expertise, and enthusiasm to make sure his clients have the most stress-free, fun, and professional real estate experience of their life. He believes that relationships are at the core of any successful transaction and his goal is to turn his clients into lifelong friends. Whether it’s recommending a great seafood restaurant in Roswell (Hugo’s Oyster Bar by the way) or tips for staging a house, Scott has created a process with a focus on “attention to detail” that is designed to achieve the results that his clients desire.
Prior to entering real estate, Scott played professional baseball in the St. Louis Cardinals Organization. This career background has provided the competitiveness and motivation that it takes to succeed in the fast paced environment of real estate where the climate can change quickly. Prior to his time in professional baseball, Scott attended the Georgia Institute of Technology on a baseball scholarship and earned his degree in Management.
Growing up in Atlanta, Scott has witnessed firsthand the tremendous sprawl of the metro area as the Atlanta population has more than tripled in the last 30 years. Growing up “with the city” so to speak has given Scott the opportunity to gain intimate knowledge about many of the neighborhoods around town. Over the years, Scott has resided in Sandy Springs, Buckhead, Roswell, Marietta, and Smyrna. Each neighborhood in Atlanta is unique and has its own distinct vibe and flavor. Being a native of Atlanta and living in so many different neighborhoods, Scott can help his clients navigate the pros and cons of each area of town.
Scott currently resides in Smyrna with his wife Tracy and their two children, Michael and Mary Claire.

Scott was very professional throughout the entire process. We moved across the country and wanted to make sure we could trust our Realtor to take care of all the incidentals since we would not be there. He went above and beyond in many cases, such as checking on out thermostat settings after our inspection and taking pictures of our blooming garden. We were not able to attend the closing. He called as as soon as he walked out the door from the closing, congratulating us. We highly recommend Scott Prather to sell your home.
Scott sold my house in a timely fashion. He met with us and made some great recommendations about what we needed to do to make our house more marketable. He was always very quick to respond and he explained the process at every step. He's very professional and hard working. I recommend him highly.
Used Scott as a buying and selling agent on my last home. He made the process extremely simple and managed every step of the journey. He also was remarkably professional in handling the negotiations....and they were tough at times. He goes above and beyond to make sure that the process goes smoothly and that all parties are satisfied.
Was a pleasure working with Scott. He knows the area, he gets to know his clients, and he makes good matches. We're thrilled with our new house, neighborhood, and community.
Scott facilitated the selling and buying of our home in Oct of 2015. He was always available to answer questions, help guide us and show us homes at a moment's notice. Scott is personable and very easy to work with. His easy demeanor made this somewhat stressful process much more enjoyable.
Scott was flexible with our schedule to show us the properties that fit our criteria. It was a very smooth transaction and we really appreciated his attentiveness. Many thanks!
Scott did a phenomenal job selling my townhouse in Underwood Hills. Scott and I worked together to come up with a listing price that I was comfortable with keeping in mind my bottom dollar number I wanted to have from the transaction. Scott made some suggestions on what to do to help stage the home for sale. Being a busy professional, I relied on Scott and his contacts (painters / handyman / cleaning people) to help get things taken care of so the townhouse could sell quickly. We received an offer that was accepted less than 2.5 weeks after being listed for 97% of the list price. Scott is a tougher negotiator than I would have been which made up for a chunk of the commission I paid. I would highly recommend using Scott for any home sale!
Scott was exceptional in helping us sell our condo. He did a great job negotiating the sales price, provided regular updates and feedback on showings, and overall is just a pleasant and nice guy to work with. I highly recommend him. It would be hard to find anyone better.
Scott Prather is a consummate professional! Patient, thorough and consultative, Scott was with us every step of the way. My wife and I were out of town buyers returning to the Atlanta market, and Scott was of huge assistance. When we would come in town he would literally drop what he was doing and always had a fresh list of properties to review. Scott helped us get a nice home at a very fair price! When it came time to close, he did an excellent job shepherding us through the process. We would highly recommend Scott!
I was referred to Scott by a co-worker. Scott was very helpful from the beginning. He knew I was looking for a place close to work and he kept me within my budget. He was on time when we had appointments and was very quick to respond to emails and phone calls. Scott knows what to look for in a house and he helped me with my home buying experience from the beginning to the end. It was the most stress free experience I've ever had when buying a home. I will always use him if I ever need to purchase a home again (but hopefully I will be staying where I am for a while!!) I will recommend him to anyone looking for an agent!
Scott Prather was the seller’s agent for my wife and I When we sold our first home. His knowledge of our area was fantastic and he walked us through the entire process from setting a list price to showing the home to closing. This all happened at the beginning of the COVID pandemic, but Scott stayed with us the whole way and gave us honest and thoughtful advice along the way. Thanks Scott!
My husband and I were first time home buyers and had zero knowledge of the area other than some online research since we both have lived in the city. My husband was gone for work, so I was doing a lot of the buying process on my own. Knowing this, Scott made himself available at any time and would give advice on what would be a good investment. At no point did I feel pressured or swayed into any home. Since I was new to looking at homes, I didn't think to check the garage or closets, but Scott pointed those things out in a subtle way that really helped us pick the right home. I don't think we would've been able to find a home without his knowledge of the area, contacts, and his friendship throughout the process. We even found our lender and insurance through some of his suggestions and they both have been wonderful as well!
Scott did an outstanding job and has great attention to detail while selling our property in Atlanta. He comes out with a game plan from the first minute you meet with him. If you stick to this plan, the house will sell quickly One of the benefits is he has a vast network of people that can help while preparing to put the house on the market. We had to deal with new landscaping, painting, cleaning and a variety of other smaller projects. He is meticulous about every minute detail in an effort to present the house in the best manner possible. He personally checked on the house 5-7 times before we put it on the market. Oftentimes, I feel realtors may just be getting a commission with minimal effort, but this was not the case with Scott. We truly needed his expertise and it helped us reach the price point we desired
