This week the Atlanta Realtors Association released their latest statistics on the Atlanta housing market. Average and median sales prices continue to gain traction and outpace 2018’s figures, with positive gains. The median sales price in July was $295,000, an increase of 7.3% from last July. Atlanta area housing inventory totaled 14,975 units in July, an increase of 1.3% from July 2018. New listings totaled 5,276, down 1.6% from July 2018 and down 3.6% from the previous month.
In short, demand is still high with record low interest rates, and even though the inventory is growing, it remains relatively low and it remains a seller’s market.
