The Chastain Park Conservancy is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to the stewardship of Troy Chastain Memorial Park’s natural and historic resources. Its mission is to restore, enhance, maintain and preserve the park’s 268 acres for its more than 2 million annual visitors. They do this through the support of individuals, volunteers, family foundations and local businesses. Their daily goal is to keep the park clean, safe and green for all users.
The calling of the Chattahoochee River Keeper is to ensure there’s enough clean water in the Chattahoochee River now and for future generations. Over the course of the last 25 years, thousands of donors invested a total of $28 million in its mission to restore the river system. Under the leadership of the Board of Directors and staff, along with the help of thousands of members and volunteers, what transpired is a transformation of Atlanta’s most critical resource – the lifeblood of the region and source of drinking water for more than five million people.
The mission of The Georgia Conservancy is to protect and conserve Georgia’s naturalresources through advocacy, engagement and collaboration. It is a statewide, member-supported conservation organization working for land conservation, environmental advocacy, coastal protection, sustainable growth and outdoor stewardship, recognizing the connection between the environment, the economy and quality of life.
Keep North Fulton Beautiful is an environmental non-profit that provides education and conservation programs to the communities of Johns Creek and Sandy Springs. Its mission is to educate and activate our community in the beautification and conservation of our environment.It has served the community since its formation as a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization in 1984, and as an affiliate of Keep America Beautiful, it shares the vision of making our communities cleaner and more beautiful places to live, work and play.Critically, it operates the Sandy Springs Recycling Center on Morgan Falls Road.
The Atlanta Memorial Park Conservancy(AMPC) was born out of the need to restore Atlanta Memorial Park after the historic flood of 2009. Formed as a private/public partnership with the City of Atlanta and gaining its 501(c)(3) status in May of 2011, AMPC’s mission is to restore, enhance, and preserve Atlanta Memorial Park, making it a beautiful, connected, and sustainable urban greenspace for the enjoyment of all.
The Piedmont Park Conservancy, a nonprofit organization, raises more than $3 million annually to preserve and enhance Atlanta’s signature green space. There’s a world within the world of Mother Nature at Piedmont Park. Not only is Piedmont Park host to hundreds of events each year, there are over 200 acres of green space to enjoy. From Atlanta’s favorite festivals, Saturday’s Green Market and sports at The Active Oval to dogs running in the off-leash dog parks and children learning over in the educational garden, there’s always something to do at Piedmont Park.
Dedicated to protecting Atlanta’s urban forest through planting, conservation, and education, Trees Atlanta works tirelessly to address Atlanta’s tree loss, protect its forests, and create new green space. Empowered by its wonderful community of volunteers, Trees Atlanta serves the metro Atlanta area, and has grown to become one of Atlanta’s most widely known and supported non-profit organizations. Our mission statement: Trees Atlanta is a nationally recognized non-profit citizens’ group that protects and improves Atlanta’s urban forest by planting, conserving, and educating.
