Dorsey Alston welcomed more than 20 agents over the last year.

They include industry veterans and agents just starting out, business owners, technology executives, marketing gurus and teachers.

We are thrilled they choose to join our family.

In order to get to know them, we asked them a few questions, like their favorite room in their homes, their favorite places eat and their favorite quotes.

Here is a little about them along with their answers.

Merrit Milman
Merritt Milam brings a unique perspective to the Dorsey family, having worked in many facets of the real estate industry since launching his career in 2015.

What drew you to residential real estate?

“I love that residential real estate is both about analytics as well as emotion. When a client is looking for a home, they are both trusting me to help with one of the biggest financial decisions they will make as well as letting me in on finding what will house the most important things: friends, family and their everyday lives.”

CeCe Coleman has called Atlanta home since 1994 and has spent most of that time as an active resident of Chastain Park. She has also lived in Sandy Springs, Buckhead and Virginia Highland.

What is your favorite space in your home?

“It sounds cliche, but the kitchen is my favorite place because it’s where everyone seems to congregate. With three busy teenagers, there is always someone prepping a snack or extra meal and it’s a great time to catch up with them.

Cece Coleman

Kohler Sartain
Kohler Sartain is an Atlanta native with an extensive knowledge of the city and the local real estate market.

Do you have a favorite quote?

“My favorite quote is actually from a letter that my grandmother wrote to us. We found it after she passed away, and it perfectly captures who she was and what I strive for in life.

“I wish for each of you a good life — a sense of humor, a deep appreciation for the simple things of life, an innate honesty, a generous spirit, a humility with dignity, many good and true friends, and the ability to discern and choose that which is important in life and that which is superfluous.”

Prior to real estate, Katie Rockwell pursued a career in marketing, where she worked in Atlanta and New York City at corporate offices for hospitality giants Marriott, InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG) and Starwood.

Where is your favorite place to eat in Atlanta?

“I can’t pick just one! I could write an entire blog post about food in Atlanta but here are some of my favorites:

Mexican: Agavero West Midtown and Superica
Thai: Little Bangkok and Nan
Italian: Storico Fresco and Forza Storico
Spanish Tapas: Iberian Pig
Sushi: Fudo
Date Night: Blue Ridge Grill and Bones”

What is your favorite space in your home?

My screened-in porch! It’s peaceful and very inviting. Lots of great conversations have happened on that porch!

Olivia Sekerak is an extremely organized, detail oriented person. She has a process of steps that she goes through when her clients are in the beginning stages of buying/selling and then another ‘project management’ process after they go under contract.

What is your favorite vacation spot?

“I’ve grown up going to the beach in coastal Georgia — it’s probably my favorite getaway still to this day! Whenever my husband and I get a chance, we love to drive down there for a long weekend and enjoy the beaches. In the winter, our favorite go-to location is Old Edwards Inn in Highlands, N.C. It’s a short drive from Atlanta to this cozy and historic hotel — plus it has great food!”

What would you say is your strength?

My hope is that I can provide my buyers and sellers with a stress free and even fun attitude to what can be a stressful life decision.”

What is your focus in terms of residential real estate?

What drew you to real estate?

“I was in my 25th year of my career in education (from high school Spanish teacher, to guidance counselor, to school administrator) and I decided to retire early. My sister, Barbara Reichick was always encouraging me to help her in real estate. Once I retired, I did just that, I first started doing what I loved so much….helping her stage & decorate homes in preparation of listing, I also helped her organize her caravans, and open houses. In the throes of COVID, I decided it was time to get my license!”
