Support Local Business

Dorsey Alston Realtors is seeking ways to be helpful to our community during these trying times. While many restaurants have closed temporarily, many people are trying to find which of their neighborhood eateries are offering delivery, take out and curb-side pick up.

Tomorrow’s News Today, a popular Atlanta blog focused on restaurants, retail and hospitality, has an evolving list of restaurants that have been hard-hit by this crisis but are still open for take-out. The city of Atlanta is temporarily allowing alcohol sales for pick up as well. There is also a list of employee aid links at the bottom of the page.

For those of you who don’t want to deal with going to the grocery store right now, Publix, Kroger, Walmart and of course Amazon/Whole Foods all offer delivery. Just click on the store name and shop. The Piedmont Park Green Market is taking online orders as well. For a complete list of vendors and items, click here. Green Market staff will give you your purchase in the parking lot behind the Willy’s at 1071 Piedmont Avenue Saturday March 28 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Georgia Trend is rolling out a new series that will include ideas for entertainment. Check out this week’s “Boredom Relievers” by clicking here.

And finally, Atlanta Magazine has this article on ways to get involved and help.

Please use the comment section to add any restaurants not mentioned, and to add any ideas you may have to assist those in need right now.
