Transacting on homes is, by nature, stressful and hectic, but Kate did an amazing job reducing stress and alleviating the burden on us. She had our house (sell side) under contract in one day. Kate McKenzie went above and beyond to help us find the perfect home. While never "pushy" she remained highly dedicated to our needs throughout the entire process. She worked closely with us to ensure she understood all of our buyer criteria (it was a lengthy list). We were moving from out of state (during the pandemic I might add) so it was certainly a challenging time for our family to begin a house hunt with such a limited housing supply on the market. Kate worked quickly and diligently to show us a number of homes. Her knowledge of the Atlanta market (traffic, schools, neighborhoods) was invaluable as we were able to rule out many houses that otherwise appeared "picture perfect" online. Narrowing down our list, she was incredibly helpful in assisting us with property level due diligence to uncover any "hidden issues" such as easements, flood plains, etc that could have greatly impacted our big purchase decision years down the line. Kate is a real estate expert, there was not a question we asked that she did not know! On top of being knowledgeable, she was friendly and engaging which made the home buying process enjoyable instead of the hellscape I thought it was going to be. My favorite part of working with Kate is that she wasn't a saleswoman, she was an advocate. She did not try to be slick and pressure us into anything, for example we did not want to get a survey done and she explained to me both sides of the issue, and let us make our own decision. Kate helped my wife and I sell our home and purchase a new one. She was very patient with us as we were exploring a new area in town and we didn't have the local knowledge she has. Kate excelled in this area and showed us many beautiful neighborhoods within our price range. Kate helped us find a house when we were pregnant with our third and living w two other kids in our 2 bedroom condo in the city! She easily could have moved us into one of the first houses we saw bc I was ready to just move! But she helped us stay focused on what we told her we wanted. She was candid when she didn’t think a house fit us and was specific why. Bc of her marketing and patience she found us an unlisted house in one of our target neighborhoods. She worked w the seller and helped us come to good terms. I have recommended her to close friends and originally heard about her and Kelly from another friend. After the move she helped us sell our condo as well and bc I had just had my third baby at that time she even helped coordinating meeting handymen for us, checking in on things at the condo, etc. she really ensured that buying a home was a good experience.
